Recently, I purchased a lot from member Psyco489, who lives in Italy. His lot was advertised as a pair of Libya express stamps (Scott # E5 and E6).
When the lot arrived, it included only one of the Libyan stamps; the other was of the same design, but from Eritrea.
I contacted this seller to ask if he had the missing item, and to inquire about returning the Eritrea stamp.
Psyco489 responded right away and apologized profusely for the mix-up. He said he was sending the correct Libyan stamp immediately at his expense, and told me to keep the Eritrean stamp as his gift.
Now this is what I call great personal service. This is a sincere seller who is making good on a mistake, no ifs, ands or buts. I confess I should shoulder some blame because I failed to look closely enough at the photo, which showed the Libyan/Eritrean pair, before bidding. But I salute Psyco for the way he's handled this.

"Mainer"
bonsoir mainer,
well, the seller does guarantee satisfaction or your money back. and he has a good rating, better than cajun's (but i cannot please everyone in the 7 years i have sold here) and he was an honest person. it is good to see some positve evaluations given on the forum for a change. i have also been the recipient of good will from many of the cousins and other sellers. we do have good people on delcampe.

You where lucky .I tried to correct my mistake with buyer Freak 1 ,including phoning to explain the mix up and even sent the stamps registered post. For my pain 4 negative feedbacks. This should never be allowed as he had recived the stamps.
I even opened a dispute for incorrect feedback. But i still have the 4 negs.
Sebastian had also not removed them.So once again you where lucky
Regards B`dog

I am an honest person too, and I always get good feedback when I am allowed to buy things, but Sebastian spends his time closing down my accounts instead of dealing with situations like the one Bob refers to.

bonjour oxon,
the acadian french, once settled in louisiana, made peace with the local indian tribes and smoked the pipes of peace. and good trading was pursued. perhaps it is time sebastien and you do the same. much good can come about without anger, resentment, or continued antimosity between the parties. benefits to the whole of the delcampe community is priority, esp. in a monetary sense. after all, that is the mission here.

Having almost completed my collection of affordable banknotes from France, Germany, Italy and Yugoslavia (that is, the countries I have mainly visited), I was going to start on Belgium, and what better place to do it than Delcampe? I have been to Switzerland, Austria, Belgium and some other small countries, but Belgium appeals most.
I'm sure there are lots of sellers in Belgium who would love to sell their whole range of Belgian banknotes, but I can't really make a start on this if I am not going to be allowed to continue. It is really silly to have to keep on registering with new identities for no good reason.

That one was in Antwerpen (Anvers), and don’t forget that the yellow stuff is advocaat (l'advocaat).
But you can get most fruits and you can get them anywhere, for example Mechelen (Malines).
Why stop at waffels (gauffres), though ? The railway station at Brugge (Bruges) has much to offer.
It’s a great little country . Just make sure you use the right language, or both if in doubt, but that can be wrong too.

bonsoir oxon,
desole, but cajun's drinkin' days are over for many years. if there is a non'-alcoholic version of this recipe, i am willing to try it.

Oxon seems to be right about this.
One wonders who this is pleasing.
Not Sebastian’s customers.

I don't understand why Melanie or anyone else wants to stop people actually buying things on delcampe. It seems so counter-productive. They should be putting their resources into advertising to English-speaking customers, not turning them away in this discouraging manner.
I hope in fact that it wasn't Melanie who did this. Some welcomed her as the answer to the problems of the English-speaking world, somebody who would understand them and treat them fairly and in an altogether more liberal way.
The Commonwealth and other English-speaking countries make up a large part of the world, and as both a potential market and a source of material which needs to be in correct categories they are not getting a fair crack of the whip on what purports to be an international website.
Come on, Melanie, reform things. Courage !
People obviously want to know who you are for starters. It is ridiculous to introduce you at half-cock like this. If you are going to be the greatest thing since sliced bread, they need to be making the most of you.
That's what I think, anyway, and I don't think I am alone. It is hardly surprising if some English-speaking members are not going to be as frank about these things now as they might otherwise be. Delcampe should trust the English a little more, like Belgians used to in days gone by. They are not all evil monsters, you know, far from it.
